Rockville Innovation Center
The Rockville Innovation Center (RIC), which opened June 12, 2007, occupies 25,000 square feet on the fourth and fifth floors of the Rockville Arts & Innovation Center, located next to the new Rockville Library in the new Rockville Town Center. The RIC provides space and support for approximately 30 start-up technology companies to grow. Programming is provided by Montgomery County’s Business Incubator Network, which boasts a proven track record of success, having graduated more than 30 companies which have generated over 1,000 local jobs.

The state of the art facility provides lease flexibility to its tenants, as well as shared amenities such as reception, conference and work rooms. In addition, tenants take advantage of programs that teach business skills and offer support with licensing, intellectual property, financing and other issues. Companies generally spend two to four years in Montgomery County incubators, before “graduating” and moving to local commercial office space.

The RIC’s prime, Metro-accessible location in Town Center, its proximity to federal agencies such as NIH, FDA and NIST, as well as many local amenities, make it attractive to prospective tenants. Companies must submit an application and business plan to be considered for admission. Capitalizing on Rockville’s strengths in the life sciences, and its international character, the RIC particularly seeks companies with a healthcare / medical / bioinformatics focus, and international technology companies that are seeking to set up their first offices in the United States.

Capital Bank, a subsidiary of Capital Bancorp, Inc., is a community bank focused on satisfying the banking needs of individuals and small businesses. Deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the bank is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank system.

The idea for the bank first started five years ago when the banking environment began to change due in part to the consolidation of the industry and the trend by larger banks through pricing and structure decisions to discourage small businesses and individuals from obtaining reasonable loans.

Capital Bank is a community bank dedicated to providing excellent service to businesses, professionals, not-for-profit organizations, and investors in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

You need to focus on your core business, so we don't take up much of your time. Most of our efforts are conducted outside of your office, utilizing technology to complete the majority of the work. Our business model has been developed so you can better understand your costs for bookkeeping while not having someone on site to complete the tasks.

Best of all, we do not push monthly flat fees. Instead we charge by the transaction so you have a complete understanding of what work has been completed and at what price.
